Neighborhood FHE

This week was very good. I was able to enjoy the beauty of the island both last Monday and this morning as well. Last week we met the Elders at the Botanical Gardens and were able to just walk around and enjoy the beautiful nature and the St. Vincent parrots that they have there. Then this morning we met the Elders in the Zone Leaders' area near Prospect to go to a beach they found there.  It has beautiful black sand as well as some rocks and tide pools. We were the only ones there, and we were able to play Frisbee and just enjoy the view. We truly have some great elders on St. Vincent. I am constantly learning from their examples and testimonies.

For district meeting we were able to watch the Work of Salvation at the Birds. We had already watched it in Calliaqua Branch, but they had technical difficulties in Kingstown that day so the Elders there hadn't seen it, yet. I didn't mind watching it again, because I loved it so much the first time. l loved not only the message they shared about how members and missionaries can work together, but I really liked the way they chose to portray that message. All of the video segments and music really added to the spirit of the message. I learned new things this time around that I had missed before. Missionary work is truly changing for the better! I don't know if we will see the new changes in the use of technology here in our mission, but it is still amazing to think about. It makes me excited to continue to be a force for good in missionary work when I return home.

This week we had our first "Neighborhood Family Home Evening" at the home of a wonderful family in our branch.  We watched Elder Holland's last conference talk on Faith, played a game, and ate some Pilou. Everyone really enjoyed it! We hope to get more people to come next Wednesday.

We started teaching a new couple. The guy is the brother of a sister from the Kingstown branch. His sister went with us to see them on Friday and it went really well. They are a sweet family and I know the gospel would bless them so much! We were happy as well to have them come to church this week with their 11 year old son and their little girl.

I'm glad to hear that everything is going well at home. Enjoy the rest of the Summer! I hope Riley has a great first birthday! It's hard to believe she is already a year! She is such a sweet little girl!
I love you all! Thanks for your emails and your love.
